Where Have You Gone? Where have You gone? I knew You so well once... Now You are gone. So proud, so tall You were always so strong. Alas, now You are just a memory. A bittersweet agony upon my heart and soul. At the mention of Your name my heart stirs, Only to fall again into the chasm of grief. I have so many questions, Yet they remain unanswered. You come to me in my dreams and with dawn's first rays You fade away. Your face I can almost touch, I reach for You, yet You are only a dream. Why must You go? Stay for just a short while. Let me touch Your face once more Don't leave, not now, Stay with me. Linger on for just a moment more, Let me know You are here. jusbaloo 05-31-03 I need Your presence, just to know You are near. |

The Good News is that He is bigger than your and my feelings and has promised not to go away. This is a good poem though, and does a fine job at exploring man's sense of lostness apart from Jesus. Love, LayItDown |
