He has shed many a tear
In the hopes that yours would end.
Did you feel him give you comfort
If you needed a close friend?

He will always touch your soul
In ways you won�t forget.
He alone forgives you
Lightens burdens of regret.

Trust me he has touched your heart
And left his footprint there,
Call him if you need him
Rest assured that he will care.

Dear Sharon, thank you, this is a wonderful comforting poem. And I love the picture, this woman saying grace reminds me very much of my grandmother ..... I still remember the prayers we said at the table ...

Just a few words (in Swiss German dialect):

Like Rae, I guess I missed your poem when it was first posted but I'm thankful now to whisperingwalt for bringing it back to the top and I also must say that your poem is very touching in that it�s very inspiring to know that we do have a relationship with One who cries when we cry, who actually has a Body to touch us when we need a touch and One who shares in our emotions.
