~* He Cares *~

Did he ever reach your heart
When you thought that he forgot?
Whispered words to your soul
Giving strength in a battle fought?

Did you feel him hold your hand
While you sat alone hour by hour?
Did he dry your tears with forgiveness,
His love your healing power?

He has shed many a tear
In the hopes that yours would end.
Did you feel him give you comfort
If you needed a close friend?

He will always touch your soul
In ways you won’t forget.
He alone forgives you
Lightens burdens of regret.

Trust me he has touched your heart
And left his footprint there,
Call him if you need him
Rest assured that he will care.

Thank you all so kindly for your lovely replies.  Somedays it is just so nice to know that you can hand your troubles over to a higher power and the burden is lighter.  I do so appreciate your taking the time to read this one.

Sharon, this is so beautiful. I love it all,
but this ending sums it all up, doesn't it?

He will always touch your soul
In ways you won’t forget.
He alone forgives you
Lightens burdens of regret.

Trust me he has touched your heart
And left his footprint there,
Call him if you need him
Rest assured that he will care.

He always cares and loves us.
Hugs to you, friend

Sharon,
Worthy I'm not but in need I am. He is always there. Excellent write. I'll be home tomorrow...woohoo!!!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, He leaves footprints on the sands of all our hearts and even when we can't see into the inside looking out, we can surely believe in it and know we have been touched some way and it is His grace! (sigh) This is bautiful, sweet friend, your gentle smile of faith shines across these pages, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I am so sorry I have not acknowledged those that read my poem as I have been busy planning a vacation to get over my last vacation and forgot I posted to be truthful.  I can't thank you enough and yes, he truly is there always if you just ask.  Thank you all so kindly for your wonderful comments.

Dear Sharon, thank you, this is a wonderful comforting poem. And I love the picture, this woman saying grace reminds me very much of my grandmother ..... I still remember the prayers we said at the table ...

Just a few words (in Swiss German dialect):

"Spiis Gott
Troescht Gott
alli arme Chind
wo uf Erde sind"

Nurture oh Lord
comfort oh Lord
all the poor children
living on Earth.

Sharon, now you made me remember childhood ... and that was "some" time ago!!

Thank you, beautiful!
Love, Margherita

I was wondering how I missed this one. I'm thankful to see it reposted for those of us who didn't see it the first time.

Yes, Sharon, I've seen His caring touch come through you in my time of confusion and sorrow.  He's there, just not always in the form we expect.

God bless,
  Rae

What a lovely poem, Sharon,

Like Rae, I guess I missed your poem when it was first posted but I'm thankful now to whisperingwalt for bringing it back to the top and I also must say that your poem is very touching in that it’s very inspiring to know that we do have a relationship with One who cries when we cry, who actually has a Body to touch us when we need a touch and One who shares in our emotions.

God bless you, my friend, and thank you for sharing,

-Bob
