Carried by the sound
of smooth Gregorian Chants
I slip out of my thoughts
and rise easily above
my troubled waters
to resonate in harmony
with Divine vibrations.

The peaceful tunes
expand in my heart
and through the walls
of the sacred temple
they softly diffuse
from the treetops
to the hills around.

The echoes dance
within many souls
and new voices join
the heavenly songs
praising Our Lord,
in deep gratitude for all
the treasures He shares.

His unconditional Love
we are given each day.
May we always be aware
of His arms enfolding us.
Even in our darkest hours
His light shines bright,
He is our perfect guide.

All we need to do
is to close our eyes
for just a little while
listening to His voice
resonating full of Love
in the deepest recesses
of our eternal souls.

Ahhh, another monk at heart.   Solitude.  Reflection.  Stillness.  Quite.  Communion.  Peace.

I think it is a tragedy that some feel the need of noise to drowned all this out.

Love,
LayItDown

Thank you Joyce, Sharon, MysticDreamer, LayItDown, jellybeans and Noah for your kind words.

I think, dear Noah, that to listen to Gregorian chants live, i.e. in the  Cistercian Abbay of Casamari is just a true EVENT! But in lack of this possibility CDs are wonderful too ....

Love, Margherita
