I look into your eyes that dare. Come now, accept a hand of care.
I plead you to let down your guard and think about eternity.
So much love and so much treasure, more then man could ever measure.
Leave your life of sin and pleasure. Pleasure leads to death, you see.
This is joy you cannot measure. Ah. to life where you can see.
Truth alone will set you free.

GG,

This is a lovely poem capturing the "still small voice" that asks each of us to give heed.

LayItDown,
first of all, I love your screen name!
and also, thank you for the reply. You're right, this is like that 'still small voice,' the one that I am sooo thankful to have heard!

Joyce,
Thank you I slaved over my paper trying to write this, afraid I'm not sych a great poet.. I sure couldn't think of any more, I wanted to make it longer, but its toooooo hard for me!

Trillium,
Thank you! Its nice sometimes just to be able to read something thats short, and to the point. Of course the greater the look the better

Littlewing,
you're tellin me! Truth seems to do both to me! But I'm free, Praise God. Thanks for replying, good to see ya 'round these parts!

Nan,
I'm glad you agree! Thanks for the reply Always good to hear from you.

Always God's Girl, Alyssa

(sigh) Yes, only the truth can set us free and may we educate our children in sheltering them from a life of avarice and gluttony! (big hugggssssssss) This is wonderfully wise, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Alyssa, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

What a powerful plea... we should all be so heartfelt when we ask others to come to Christ. You are so right.. I hope this person heard your call and the call of the Lord!

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

mysticpoe,
Thank you the whole conecpt really is easy, its just our failures that make it complicated... I like looking at it simple sometimes. Glad you enjoyed it. God bless you, too.

Noah,
amen... and its so important not only to  teach our children that, but ourselves and adults, too! the world is rampant with sin and will continue to get worse... God bless you and thank you.

LoveBug,
yes it only means anything if it comes from the heart. This wasn't written to anyone specifically, but to many around my life, and others' lives too. Actually specifically for a devotional book. I can only hope and pray that by any means, the Holy spirit convicts and softens the hearts of many, many people. Thank you God bless you...

You did a good job of laying out truth in a few sentences!

El Campeador,
Thank you
I just wish there was a way to really describe the greatness of it and to help people understand that it really IS true.
But thats a job for the Lord...
God bless you!

Always, Alyssa

I agree with all the above comments, you said it well, and succinctly, for it is a simple promise, it just takes faith to accept it...wonderful write
