God, this is my testimony Of a confused soul A lost little girl Meandering through broken dreams And deadly racing thoughts I deflect you More times than often I'm down in prayer Every single night Reading the psalms Hoping to find peace of mind But I'm blind To the signs Around me I'm scared Hold me tightly Rock me back to sleep I know everything is going to be alright But I fall victim To the negativity robbing me of my sanity I recite the bible Within my nightmares Whisper within my ear When my heart is overwhelmed Lead me to the rock that is higher than I For I'm not strong enough most of the time Nor always in my right mind To always find my way back Please don't give up on me Even though I've given up on myself...
