In the shadow of the cross
I knelt down one day
And there to Him my heart I gave
To never from Him stray.

He looked so torn and wretched
In agony He was
He shed His blood for me that day
To make me whole and just.

He suffered many sorrows
That day on the cross
He saved us all from sin and death
Our gain was His loss.

He's no longer on the cross
He rose from the dead
And He'll return in glory fair
Just as He has said.

He's knocking at your heart now
Will you let Him in?
He is the door to Heaven's shore
With Him you will win.

Jesus lives in my heart!

A most wonderful testimony and invitation for all to come and receive Christ as you have done and even more so encouraging and uplifting is your poem as we reflect during this time that we hold most dear of which we call Easter. God bless you and happy Easter.

Beautiful! The cross may be our symbol, but as you say it really is the prelude to ETERNAL LIFE, to resurrection, to a never-ending bond of Love.

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is beautiful and though I weep in all the blood He had to sacrifice, I know He is reborn and He is here to save us all and I will always let Him in! (sigh) This is precious, sweet friend, the cross is our symbol of salvation and unconditonal love, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sheri, thank you for sharing!
