Oh to be free
Of deaths dire limitation
To make amends for all that we lack
If we could just
Reach out and exceed our potential
We would sop this embrionic flesh like a rag
Trace a thin silver line
Back to infinity,
Then quite simply
Begin moving the limbs of God.

A deep longing so very powerfully expressed.

... I am sure the silver thread exists ....

Thank you, everyone here has mde me feel quite welcome. I enjoy and grow from critique so if you have any suggestions or comments I welcome them. I realize this is not the critique forum and thats not why we are all here. I thought this poem would go well in the spiritual forum as it is the most vulnerable poem I have. Thanks for your comments and I look forward to many late nights on the boards.

Absolutely love poem.  Sounds like you are really longing to be free.  May you find freedom in God's arms.

Hi,
You are not alone. The feeling is in all of us.
Until we hear the voice so true, we must stay....
Thanks, your words remind me of the promise of eternity.

Very vivid expression here my friend. I do see that we share the same desire for immortality or escape from death's dire limitation as expressed here in your poem. What a glorious thing it would truly be and I believe will be to live forever!!! I do like how your thoughts seem to flow freely in this poem and I really like the portrayal of the embryo which seems to be and I agree it truly is contrasting to being immortal. Our flesh does keep us, regretfully, from being like the one from which the thin silver line proceeds. If we are to have any hope of living forever or moving the limbs of God as you have written, I do think that we will need to put our trust in something that is beyond what we can find in the physical or embryonic realm. (Amen) Great job. You've really got me thinking here. -Bob

Thank you for your comments, I am glad you like the poem. Poetry is a wonderfull way of sharing with each other as we take more time figuring out what it is that we wish to say.
Forums like this one bring us all closer together! Ah yes, the internet or as I like to call it, Gods new nervous system.
I would be interested in hearing some of your thoughts concerning spirituality and eternal life...if you have the time to yank that lure you stuck in the water.

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I think it would be wonderful if there can come a day where we can all live forever and be sanctified too as to ensure peace for all our children forever and ever and oscillate with the stars! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, yay, I'm so happy you're here, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

And that's the most wonderful thing about creating. It will always be a mystery.
