Spring Blessings

From early morn, I knew the day
Was bringing something good my way.
All the time I did my chores,
My eyes were straying out of doors.
In the garden plot I found,
Pushing up from underground,
Ruddy knobs of rhubarb roots,
Putting out their early shoots.

Upon a southern bank, displayed,
Small buttercups, their lovely shade,
Bits of sunlight, trapped in flowers.
Nearby, in their leafy bowers,
Robins chirped their merry notes,
Pouring forth from feathered throats
And in the sweetness of the air,
God spoke to me from everywhere
And made me glad that I could see,
Blessings, springtime brings to me!

Yippee!!! (Big Smiles) Oh, your poem is so full of cheer and sweet song that it just makes me float light heartedly as it were in mid air upon a fluffy cloud of my imagination. I think you've captured the joyfulness of spring so very well here in your poem and again you get a very well deserved vote form me. God Bless.

Trillium, this poem is put together in a real nice way. You should submit the poem for print. I feel that a lot would really enjoy placing this on there wall for the Springtime.

This simply has to be in this book, as it is the depiction of Spring, and truly made me smile.  Simply lovely.
