I walked blindly in the shadows.
I longed to leave my life of fear.
But still I kept my path,
A painful road of wasted years.

So many wrong steps I took,
So many tears I've shed,
But like a fool I still kept going,
On stupid life I led.

My day of judgment grew closer,
I was close to being pulled apart,
But like a ray among the darkness,
Jesus touched my heart.

"Turn around, leave your path,
Come and walk with me.
I'll give you peace and my purest love
And I'll hold you for eternity."

So I stepped into the light,
With Christ lifting my soul
He washed away my transgressions.
And made my body whole.

Those wasted years of long ago,
Is now just a faded memory.
For I've been touched by Jesus
So great and full of glory.

My life was made anew,
My heart was loved again
With Jesus always with me,
I finally had a friend.

So to all still in the shadows,
Come and walk with me.
Fill your heart with his spirit,
And you'll find bliss for all eternity.

I seek liberation, yet I am caged.
My goal is serenity, but my outcome is chaos.
I want a simple world, but I'm trapped in complexity.
The only sur

What a beautiful testimony. May your light always shine for others. You went through those years for a reason, so you can relate to others who are as you used to be, so they aren't really wasted.

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I am so very happy you posted this because I followed along a much similar path like you! I used to be very depressed and abused and seized wrongfully, and when I was 12 I had enough and almost committed suicide, but before I wanted to jump off a chasm I felt somehow He pushed me back, some strange force, and I was convinced it was God, who I was skeptical in believing before, and that day was when I became a devout Catholic and continue to live my life centered around Him! (sigh) This brought me to tears, sweet friend, thank you, I pray all can follow in these footsteps to faith, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet George, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Hi Icy Flame,
You have capture the story of so many souls.
I for one stumbled and fell. One black day I too saw the ray of Light. I became new and I never went back.  Thanks, a great poem.  A great story of what Jesus will do for us. You have written holy poetry.  Thank you.

Welcome to the Spiritual forum of Passions!!! It is always most glorious and wonderful to read the testimonies of other Christians besides myself. I do appreciate very much as you've expressed here in your words your great gratitude and thankfulness and your deep seeded desire to help others find a new life in Christ and all that I do believe only truly comes when one has a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. Each time I hear or read someone's testimony about what good things God has done for them it reminds me about what good things God has done for me and that is a GREAT thing. Thank you so very much for sharing your testimony and again Welcome.

-Bob
