The Splinters

He tears away the splinters
     of the cross I bear
He makes it less impossible
     for me to wear.

As I let go the maladies
     that I’ve brought on myself
As I release the pain
place the cause upon the shelf.

He cradles me, He loves me,
     He makes His promises true
In turn, it’s more plausible
to be a witness to you.

And those splinters, they don’t just lie
     In wait in someone’s realm
He burns them, erases them
while His Spirit takes the helm.

My Pilot, my Guide,
     my Protector for always
As we begin my new eternity
with Him ever in my days.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

I really love how you describe His goodness and His love for us!

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

He truely is the pilot of the world...it's great to be reminded of these things, especially in such beautiful words as these!

(sigh) All it takes is believing to be a witness for Him, hey, He is free from that cross now so he truly can remove any splinter or thorn from a lions paw! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Hi,
Absolutely.  This poem makes me cry from joy.
Does anyone else cry?  I know I'm not alone.
Thank you very much. Whippoorwill
