SCOTH NOT

Don’t scoth at me,
Because I believe
I have lived before.
I, in turn,
Will not fault you,
For believing otherwise.
One thing is abundantly clear,
Neither one of us knows, for sure.

One day, maybe
We will be in another time,
Another place,
With absolutely no memory
Of this time of debate
And doubt, to clarify
Which one of us was wrong,
Or which one of us was right.
So the reality for today is
That such differences
Of opinions, do not really
Matter at all.

I be me BUT who does me be?

The word "scoth" in your title got my attention from the beginning... I thought that perhaps I had forgotten one of the ten commandments... Thou shall not scoth. (I hope I'm not scothing here) (Smiles) Now, that I think that I have an idea of its definition as it is written here in your poem, I will most definitely try to avoid "scothing" anyone for their beliefs. (Amen) An interesting thought you have about living before... I really haven't thought about it before, but I do supppose that it could be possible... GOD bless and again thank you for sharing.

Scoth - old type (I think)  for scoffing, scoff - to ridicule, mock, ridicule and so on and so forth.  I just love that word, my favorite alltime word is 'codswallop' but scoth runs pretty close. Thanks for the comments though.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Das, this is so very sad but true, sweet friend, we all have so many different opinions, religions, beliefs, doctrines, and rules, yet it doesn't change a thing and if we only understood loves truth these things that only divide us further from each other can vanish into thin air! (sad sigh) This is touching, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Like this and I am in total agreement with it.

Makes one re-think a bit - nice.
