As was common practice in the 1940s, candidates for the
priesthood were recruited in Catholic grade schools and thus began early, at the age of 14 or so, a formation that profoundly transformed their lives. The training was rigorous, but kind and gentle. The following poetry describes the spiritual development in youngsters as they learned about divine things, accepted them and strived to advance in stages to a closer relationship to God.

Interesting! I scanned each page, enormously long to just sit and read word for word, for me anyway.  Must have taken you quite a long time to compile. Certainly well done.

(smiles) Oh Charles, this is beautiful, it truly is so very special for boys and girls to get to be accustomed with His love at such a young age and to be able and spread it and hope to influence others! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I hope we can all achieve this kind of understanding, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Charles, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Wow! I'm truly impressed.

I'm a reader - not a writer.
