THE TRAVELER

I have traveled
To far-off lands.
Touched stars,
That were out of reach,
Polished the sun,
With nary a burn.
Floating
On puffy soft clouds
I have touched
Wings of angels.
I have heard,
And understood
The whispering wind,
And sans umbrella
Walked in the rain,
Without getting wet.
Sliding down the rainbow
I have landed
Upon the elusive
'Pot 'o Gold'.
How fearlessly
I have flown
With the majestic eagle,
To new heights
Of self-awareness.
Communed proudly
With spiritual chiefs,
Of great, glorious
And honorable nations,
And heeded and learnt
From their simple wisdom's.
I have worn
Freshly spun, pure silk,
That still held the warmth
Of the cocoon.
The finest
Gold and silver
Has elegantly weighted me down,
Whilst I have sparkled
With diamonds
And other priceless jewels.
I have exalted
And been exalted,
My life has been
Well lived
And envied by many.
How did I
Accomplish so much?
Easily,
I sought my spirit,
And found it within myself.
With meditative quiet
And mindful exploration
I traveled wherever
I wanted to go.

How different, the dark that scares us,
From the dark, behind our eyes,
That we hide behind to protect us
From the dark that scares us. ©das

SPIRIT:  Really enjoyed reading about your travels and accomplishments.  In the world of imagination, anything is possible! I too, have taken some of those flights of fancy!

Thanks for the kind words.  Travelling in this manner is beneficial and awfully cheap.

Where the spirit has taken you as expressed here in your poem, sounds absolutlely marvelous my poet friend.... and I like your last remark regarding reduced air fares. (Amen) ...must be frequent travel miles. GOD bless and thanks again for sharing your adventures here with us.  -Bob

(smiles) Oh Das, this is so lovely, you certainly are adventuresome, just as I am! Out here in Colorado it is a big desert around the mountains but I love the serenity of it sometimes! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, may you find the other end of that rainbow, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
