In God’s Hands

This simple prayer
Comes your way
Attendant hands
Joined to pray

One man needs
Your special touch
“Ten years” he said
is that too much?

The cusp is primed
For things to come…
Though life unwinds,
Is his undone?

If you have time,
If it’s your choice,
Give him time
For his voice.

I asked him “Please
Tell me, true,
You believe in
Prayer, don’t you?”

He said

“Yes! You would do
That for me?”
I said, “Yes!
Willingly.”

This simple prayer
Comes your way
Attendant hands
Are joined to pray

One man needs
Your special touch.
In Your name,
If not too much.

Just some time
To set in motion
What might just touch
People’s emotions.

Karilea,
You have had much practice. I add my prayer for your brother as well. Very touching indeed. Bless you and your brother.

Sunshine~ Within my prayers is always a special prayer for all the people here at PiP and their loved ones. If you need them they have already been delivered in your name for those in need...Paul

Sunshine,

You amaze me how you can say so much here in your poem with such short and simple lines. I believe that simple and to the point prayers can have a powerful affect as well. I join in your prayer to extend the days of your loved one (Your Brother).  I pray for the emotions of all of those who are involved and concerned about your Brother, we do place everything as the title of your poem says in GOD's hands, and we pray all of these things in the precious name of Jesus.

Thank you my friend for sharing and GOD bless you and yours.

-Bob

They say it only takes a prayer...
and I have heard of miracles, true,
such things are really not so rare,
they happen daily, to me and you.

I had hoped for one or two, but more
have joined this little choir.
My brother knows, it may not be,
but somehow feels the lift of Higher.

Should it happen, bless you all...
should it not, please don't despair
all things come to those who call
on God who provides us loving care...

Bless you all.

This poem is beautiful. I admire Yours and your Brother's Faith as expressed here.  It is a privilege my friend to play a  small part with those who are in intercession for your Brother's health.  Again, GOD bless.

(sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a truly illustrious sentiment, the heart must be treated in the cycle of a circle so the love can be produced from the aorta and through everyone's veins! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

For God is born in that urgent peace
When mind is silenced and the soul released

...even for thorough agnostics and non-believers like myself one is not immune to the powers of prayer. The woes of mortality shall always importune the gods one way or the other.

Excellent write!

I did not know that this was brought back up in May of this year.  Your prayers, all of them, helped give my brother two extra years from the time this was first posted.

And I thank all of you for that very special gift.
