Gardeners
We are gardeners of our lives.
Like the seedlings
We leave the darkness
To grow towards the light.
Our tender stalks are weakened
By the weeds that surround our roots.
They smother us with rejection,
Abuse, addictions and despair.
They throw in jealousies,
Hatreds and weaknesses
In an effort to stunt our growth.
Anything to stop us
From reaching our full potential.
Fortunately, we can pull up these weeds,
Face all that they lay before us,
Clear the underbrush,
Unafraid, with dignity and honor
And become the beautiful,
Glorious blossoms
That we were born to be.

I am an enigma, even unto myself.
A puzzle unsolved, a mystery maybe until beyond death.  ©das

(sigh) Yes, and He is the master gardener as He offers us the rain to help the foundation grow, the fruits ripen, and enriches the tabernacle soil that preaches to nature! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I love the comparison here  that you make  with our lives and the garden... One that I am familiar with for certain. I do want to be fruitful.  Thinking on your poem, I think that it is wonderful that we have an opportunity here to be planted in this place (I believe a fertile place) where we can encourage one another and be encouraged in continuing on with Hope and in Faith.  What an encouragement it is to find the strength to pull out those "weeds" that can stun our full potential in Christ. Oh Yes, Let us all bloom with the Glory that GOD intended for us to be.  Very nice.

WOW!
Written by a true gardener who knows how to compare life to digging in the dirt. Bravo!!!!

Thank you I appreciate the kind words.
