I set foot anew, in search
of a trail  strewn with possibilities,
a fresh, unmarked and wooded path
for me to explore and discover
something new, perhaps wild,
yet full of beauty and enchantment -
a launching to unconquered space.

This journey may take me
through the rough seas of frustrations,
across bridges of despairing moments.
But if I trust in God -  He who promised
refuge in troubled times or not,
my pilgrimage will be a course
charted by His capable, caring Hands.

I liked this.  I have most of my journeys behind me, but I remember the thrill of new possibilities.  Joyce

I like the mood for adventure that your poem gives to me, but I also like the word "Refuge" here...  It seems as of late in my life that I am seeking more for refuge than I am for adventure...  but both are wonderful experiences.  GOD bless and just to let you know, I have posted some tips on how you can add an image to your poetry at my poem posting,,, Winter's Refuge.  Oh, there's that word again. (Smiles).  Again, enjoyed your poem.

A fine poem!  It is so comforting to know that no matter what new ventures we take on, God is always with us!
