Outside my study window,
snow flurries drift by in lazy abandon.
Some fall on glass panels, on rooftops,
never reaching the ground.
I wonder, do they envy those who do?

The Lord who created me,
created Nature’s gifts – all priceless
in finite  things like these,
playing infinite variations in beauty,
complex yet simple to behold.

I shall enjoy this moment,
as I gaze in quiet content, longing
to romp in Nature’s playground forever.
This is His kind of peace –
precious, but always within our reach.

(Note: to the readers, so as not to mislead you -there is no snow in my country. I have, however, been abroad in seasons like this.)

I would give anything to see snow again. But in FL "snow" isn't a word in our vocabulary.I'm from PA lots of snow memories there.Like snow melting in the summer, this poem was heart-warming.

Josefina,

Lovely.... I could almost taste the froth melting in my mouth from those airy little snow flakes... (Sigh) It is a wonderful place to live here in Nature's Playground. (Amen) GOD bless and, again, I'm so glad that you found us.

Another great piece to read. Thank you for sharing.

I'm glad I read your little addendum, I was confused about the picture of snow in the Phillipines.  But snow is too beautiful not to be shared.  We get it infrequently here in Northwest U.S. Nice poetry.  Joyce

*sigh* snow is lovely when it doesn't turn to snowstorm. I miss the memory.
And because I do love it so much, I posted another "Snow" poem, but in the Holiday Cheer forum.
Thanks, poets, for reading me, "not a poet", just passing by.

May love and light always shine upon you!
