I AM IN AWE
OF THE SHEPHERD,
AND THE GENTLENESS
WITH WHICH HE TENDS
HIS FLOCK.
THE INFINITE PATIENCE,
THE CONSTANT ATTENTION,
THE LOVE THAT IS BESTOWED,
ON THE EVER GROWING,
EVER CHANGING
POPULATION.

SOMETIMES IT IS HARD,
TO GET CLOSE
TO THE SHEPHERD.
SO MANY OBSTACLES,
SO MANY NEEDY
PUSHING CLOSE
TO TOUCH HIM.
BUT I SEE HIM,
I HEAR HIM,
FOR HE IS IN
MY HEART.

Apologies didn't mean this to be all capitals.

This is a wonderful piece... yes, it can seem that it is hard to get to our Lord, but He is always near us, guiding and loving us. I hope you'll share more of your poetry with us!

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.--Jesus Christ

SPIRIT:  Perhaps it needs to be in capitals!
It's that important!  Good write.

The Good Shepherd certainly is awe inspiring when I think about Him in terms of your poem.
Very good.   -Bob

(sigh) I have always preconceived shepherds as simple peasants who live by their own doctrines, but now I have understood that they are artists more skilled than any other as nothing can purify the fleece more than these wise men! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is wonderful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Das, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you. I appreciate all your comments.

My perspective of me is different,
As I look out from within,
Than that of others on the outside,
Trying to look in.     ©spirit

This is by far my most fav from you. It is full of faith, joy and power. The caption is hardly needed to express your emotion, trust, for the Lord. Thanks so much for sharing...
