Harden

The petals on the grass are mine,
Creating a dream that give one fuzzy warm feeling.
The thorns on its seemed fragile body...are mine, too,
Be it I'm the receiver or the giver.

Rose, fragrance attractive but abstract,
She is pretty, but only last so an hour.
Rose, thorns hurt but heart's hurt felt greater.
She is green yet unforgivable.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Eliza, I can feel the sting of the thorn here in your words, sweet friend, it is so very true yet you can hold the rose by its stem and look deep into the calyx and find that soft journey through the middle of it all where love rests, the essence! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is heartfelt, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Eliza, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Oh, the rose as you have described symbolizes so many deep and wonderful things such as Love, Beauty, and such a delightful sweet fragrance has the rose..... but for me, personally, the rose represents resilience because I can't get anything else to grow, but the rose.  (Between you and me, I am a horrible gardener.)  Anyway, my point here is this... The rose is a very resilient plant, but much more resilient is the human heart my poet friend.... In time, I do believe that your heart will overcome.  Good writing here and God bless you and may you and yours have a blessed and joyous Christmas.

Great image on your opening lines:
"The petals on the grass are mine,
Creating a dream that give one fuzzy warm feeling."

In the eye of the beholder, a thing of beauty remains so even if it has thorns..

Like the petals of a rose... as time goes by we extend ourselves and fully bloom into the butterflies we are today.
