In the still peace of a night unfolding;
See the glimmered patches there.
‘Tis the face of God beholding;
Sense His presence in the air.

Fleeting puffs of heavenly cotton,
Slowly wading through the sky.
A beauty not able to be forgotten;
Only Jesus be glorified.

Could this be the world I hated?
Could this be a place of pain?
This is the life I once wished had faded;
To recollect that now brings shame.

In this world of glory and wonder;
Where even pain and hate subside;
May you see God even in the thunder,
And when you doubt Him, look to the sky.

(sigh) Oh Alyssa, this is so very touching, sweet friend, yes, always look to the sky as just because it may be so cloudy somedays doesn't mean the sun doesn't exist then, for He is right there behind the clouds and His love is shining through! and yes, I remember it still so vividly. A still evening.. I was laying in the grass, out in the country, it was cool and green, and all that was with me was my paper, my pencil, my thoughts, and my God.
Truly beautiful, I could never relay to you the esence of it.

I do believe that one day we will be looking up and behold He will be there in all of His Glory and with all of His Thunder. Amen. Beautiful imgagery here as you describe the sky and how it has ministered to you in a most personal way. Thank you again for sharing and God bless you.
