Catharsis through prayer. You laugh at my misery.
Tears are trickling like a broken rosary...
Give me a reason before you imprison me.
Give me a cross before you expose me.

I drift like a ghost through the fog of September,
Leaving no footprints, -- no one will find me.
Goodness, forgive me before I surrender.
Give me my freedom before you confine me.

My robe weaves a noose -- I’m losing my sanity.
The thorns of the crown cut my flesh to the bone.
Before you abandon me blossom inside of me...
And stay with me, Father, when I’m all alone.

I loved the images you portrayed in this piece, and you held my attention right through.  I enjoyed this - thank you.

Though it's a part of living, it's very difficult to respond to misery as you have done here through your poetry.  I like how you relate suffering to what seems to me to be expressed in your poem to the sufferings of Christ and His last hours in prayer at Gethsemane as he foresees his very death upon the cross or even at the time when He cries out from the cross and gives up the Ghost.  Anyway, this is a good poem I think that captures well the deep feelings of purifying prayer.
