I know the day will come
When I will be forced to leave my world
The immense security of my childhood
The repeat of my everlasting memories
And the glow of the flame that keeps me alive

Into the unknown
I will walk alone
My fears around me
But not able to break the force
That keeps me moving
Moving along this route into shadow
But also into the sun

You helped me to understand
That one day I would reach the other side
And now I have discovered this path leads to heaven
So if I stumble and fall
Please don’t forget I will still reach you
In another day

Every time I see you
I will remember
How hard this was to achieve
But how much I cherish every day
And in every way
I can’t thank you enough
Because you saved my soul.

Hmmm...I'm not one for talking about religion (as I'm not!), but I truly enjoyed the feelings of optimisim in this piece. Excellent, pleasant piece. Thanks for the optimism!!!!
