In Reply to The Echo

Oh Joy! Let me awaken to thee,
That the doors of my heart may swing wide
And the crowd of emotions may rush in and embrace one another.
Let that singular ray of light from my soul
Find a way out through the myriad maze of my mind and body,
To spread over the Universe,
Which once simply a gathering of object and events,
Will be at once visible to me as a whole.

Oh Joy! Stir my soul of unlimited empathy
To the stream of melody that issues from the heart of the Universe,
Transport  me to the origin,
Up the towering heights, through the rocky ledges, and snowy peaks
To the bosom of the Creator that I may bathe in his mountain lake of joy!
I send my song from the depths of a heart so full that the
Cup of emotions brims over, spilling its contents into the stream.
I send my portion of Joy, may it be received!

Oh Joy! Bend that eternal stream my way,
That it may return to me in a flood of Harmony.
It will flow over me,
Caressing me like a mother, a lover, and a friend all at once.
The crystal waters will I let drown my consciousness
And hence become aware of the End to which the stream of songs rushes.

Oh Joy! As awareness blooms my love will spring forth.
My Self is moved and strains at its mooring,
That innermost part would fain be carried away like flotsam
To the musical waters’ end.
May I contain my Self in this life, that I may find the proper path.

Oh Joy! I have found thy vessel and do dub it Beauty!
The stream has origin in both the infinite and the finite,
Just as the stars can both be counted and yet are innumerable in number.
From Beauty does a water-fall of Joy and Harmony flow.
Let me climb into thee Beauty that I may be of you and Joy at once.

Oh Joy! I have discovered the True in my wanderings along the countryside of the Infinite!
The small, slow moving creek, that flows from Infinity to the Finite is the True.
Slowly does it winds its way through time and space, to the Finite,
And when it arrives we know it as another thing; The Good.
Definite in form and subject to the laws of the Creator
This creek is that which we understand.

Oh Joy! I know you in your polymorphistic majesty.
Your vessel and you are one as is the End to which you surge.
Akin is our longing to return to the Creator.
Of the creek of Truth and Good do you arise like Venus out of the ocean.
And as you gush to the End
You become more difficult to touch and grasp.

Oh Joy! I feel the way to touch you.
I will bathe in the brook of Truth
I will drink the waters of Good
And then I will allow you to carry me to my Creator.

This was certainly a wonderful testment to the Creator and a journey of self-discovery.  We all were something else once, that is what growth is all about, and we are ever changing and knowledge is our power.

Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me.

This is beautiful and I am sure you have not lost your ardor.  Perhaps misplaced it for a while.  Joyce

(sigh) Oh Zahaar, this is marvelous, sweet friend, I'd say with a timeless treasure as this you certainly have much of that youthful spirit still boiling in your blood! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, He will always let His love carry you upward, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Zahaar, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

majnu,

Oh, your poem takes its readers into a whole different dimension than the usual three
dimensional world of which we as human are accustomed.  To me it seemed as if a
wonderful, beautiful, harmonious spirit world where music flows like a stream in the form
of Truth and Good and the Creator of all things who is in all things surges in us toward an end which consists of Pure Joy. My poet friend, Pure Joy!!!  A delightful experience you describe here and I do hope that you will be able to return one day soon to this your world of pure uncontainable Joy.

thank you all for reading my work and taking the time to comment.

mysteria, knowledge is my power i suppose, but i fear the price may be more than we can bear in the end.

joyce, i hope so - be sure i won't stop looking.

noah! your comments always give my self esteem a boost.

bob, thanks for the compliments. that's the trick isn't it? many people get glimpses and fleeting touches, its staying there that is the hard part.
