A Prayer In Earnest

I have no extra special words
no fancy tribute shall I write
rather I’ll say a prayer of thanks
for the men and women that still fight.

When I am praying this prayer
I’ll ask for all terrorism to cease
and for help to stop the madness
with a special request for world peace.

I’ll ask the Lord to gently hold us
with his tender loving hands
and to lead us with his wisdom
that we all might love our fellow man.

A prayer, that they not be forgotten
the unsung heroes who gave their all
those who were among the innocent
or defending us, that we might not fall.

Please bless the families left behind
a prayer, Lord please help them understand
let them know their loved ones are remembered
and that they are now held in Angels hands.

I’ll then pray for everyone to join the circle
the circle of peace that encompasses all
and this prayer, I’ll pray in earnest
Lord please guide us when upon your name we call.

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, I now hold your hands and begin to expand this circle of prayers I know will be fulfilled with our love as all our heroes will be remembered and forever be gifted by Him as He watches over us all with loving care and compassion! (big hugggssssss) May all our children be safe and forever guided by His light, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sad to me, how very quickly we as a nation  have turned back to our old independent ways of living as before the terrorist attacks of 9/11 when there was so much more to learn about unity and prayer as your poem brings to surface.  It seemed for awhile there that America had formed one big circle of unity and prayer and that was such a beautiful time I believe in the history of America.  Thank you for your diligence and for your continued prayer my friend.

This is a wonderful prayer and I wish everyone could read it and abide by it!
