I remember the smell of chalk-- the contrast of white print on green-- forest green to be exact-- it seemed to amplify the "word." "What is that you want to be?" The nun turned and wrote with jiggling arm. I watched in fascination, wondering, if she, in heat, beneath the robe? wore drause... "WHAT I WILL BE..." she wrote, neatly, as I sat just there--squat in dread. "When you grow up" she asked of us, "what is that you'll do?" I sat there as she chose each one-- she had a method--a-b-c... I heard each answer kissing "tush"-- an nun, a priest, and fireman-- so altruistic of us kids... When she finally got to me, an "H" behind the "G"-- I clenched regret and I announced: "I want to be a prophet-- because they seem to know--so well." * * * The silences foreshadowed dread. Forever? I was marked. But I will walk the coals of hell-- to kneel before the face of God and Goddess-- in creation's dance-- amazed in witness of my birth.  (smiles) Oh my gosh, I love the determination of your voice, sweet friend, like Robert said all those characters were prophets and even deep down we can all be prophets with poetic pens and see beyond the realms of our own world and into the otherside where much more meets the minds eye!
