Where the waters of fear are deep I hold to your hand
Depending upon your promise to never leave me or forsake me
Hearing your voice in the darkness that is falling about me
I must trust you that you know the footsteps that I must take
I must say "yes" to your commands and obey
For with every "yes" you lead me further on
Down the path towards peace and happiness
Knowing Father that you cannot lead me any further
Than my "yes'es " to you can take me

"Yes" is engraved on every stepping stone
On the path to your haven of rest

Songbird,
And I long for that "haven of rest". Nice write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(sigh) Oh Songbird, this is sooooooo wonderfully said, sweet friend, and with every yes we only grow stronger with His acceptance and can embrace every brand new day with assurance the next step can be made! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Songbird, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

"Trust and Obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to Trust and Obey"

Songbird,

Your poetry has brought my heart to singing.

"I'll say Yes, Lord, Yes to your will and to your way!!!  I'll say Yes, Lord, Yes I will Listen and Obey!!!"

You've chosen the right name for yourself my poet friend....  I do believe that there is an aspect of total surrender and praise that can truly help us through any situation.  God bless you and thank you for sharing.

-Bob
