Twilight has fallen, the dust revealed.
In the moonlit sky a love is sealed.
The moon still shines to light the place
Where once I felt a warm embrace.

The stars held up, by God’s own hand
Is the only comfort I now understand.
I miss the past; the memories fade.
I feel fear and doubt, resentment and rage.

The loving hands, working so hard,
Long into the night.. My soul’s now scarred.
The moonlit sky, it shines so bright,
But there’s only reason for mourning tonight.

The moonlit sky it shines with might
Its late now and but I feel alright.
I have memories from the light shown,
I’ll sleep tight; I’m safe at home.

(this I wrote about two years ago, so I was only thirteen)

Thank you both!
I believe the best poems are written when the deepest emotions are felt, thats how I got anything written down that some may even describle slightly 'ok' at that age.

Ah how I thank that teacher whom forced us to write, and I hated it so much then!

Always, GG
