You are an island in my paradise
a safe harbor tucked away
the white sand along the shoreline
down by the seaside in cliche's.

You are the underside of the sun
turned down on the horizon
the perfect ending to my day
and the best that's yet to come.

You are the velvet touch of midnight
sparkling in the starlight
outlined in silhouette
in visions behind the moon.

You are a torrential rain pour
an unexpected summer storm
a sense of calm in troubled waters
drawing shades across my eyes.

You are the pearl essence
shimmering pale iridescent
you are my morning after
dusting powder blue.

Loved them all but this one stands out for me, beautiful image. Hardly the work of a 'novice'. I'm glad I came back online and caught this.
