No Christmas Rush for Me

the Christmas rush
has not caught me
not running helter-skelter
quite sure you see

handful of dressing
adorns two rooms
o’er cards not stressing
nor even brooms

no packages
have been sought
not one iota
has been bought

but since it’s now
thirteen December
I guess I’d better
try to remember

just what to do
just what to find
just what to place
on emerald pine

for twelve days remain
till Christmas day
and I’d not want
loved-ones to pay

for my serenity
that sits around
sipping
chamomile tea

get on the stick
I say to me
give seat a kick
with energy

the clock is ticking
the hour’s not sticking
feel a tiny bit of stress
come on, now, at least get dressed!

LOL at this one. My daughter has three packages to send, but has decide to wait a few days so she can bake fresh cookies to add to the packages.

LOL.....this is wonderful VAS....but, I assure you...the rush is coming..and it's like a bad dose of heroin when ya wait too long.......(Ummm.....I only know this cuz uh, um, I, uh, have heard about bad doses of heroin on MTV or somewhere????)

yaknow, I haven't done a darn thing for Christmas yet, and probably won't...gotta work anyhow, so I"m not letting it stress me. Thanks for the write!
