Where is the love?
Has it been lost?
Will mankind pay the ultimate cost?
Will young people march to death and war?
Do they still ask themselves "What for"?
When did we all become as sheep,
afraid to question motives deep?
And is it someone else's fight?
Or will bombs disturb our peaceful night?
Will pain and terror reign supreme?
No safety zone, just fear extreme?
These questions asked, but answers cost
Where is the love?
Has it been lost?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During this Christmas season, 2002, may there be a lull in gunfire.
May bombing cease.
And may every nation's leader look closely at their own motives.
Peace On Earth....it's not impossible, but it has to start with you and me.
We are writers.......who better to spread the word?
I fear the love has been lost. What a poignant write this is. Hopefully, through this holiday season, the celebration of the unspeakable gift, the sound of war will be mute. An excellent write.
Thank you WhiteRose, and maybe, just maybe there will be a gift of peace to all the war torn areas of our earth. I know that is a dream, but peace is worth hoping for. ~~S~~
When there is light, there will always be a chance of shadows.  But if we come together to illuminate the world from all angles, then the shadows disappear.  I'll do my best to be light from as many angles as possible to make the dark go away.
Hi garysgirl!
Thank you, my friend, and if we all just do a little bit in this world, things might just improve!!
Hi Midnitesun!
Hi Drifter!
Hi vandana!
Good to see you, and glad you came by!
Hi Noah!
Yes, it's the children that I think about most often. They are the ones who will change the world, but we are the ones who can show them how. Thank you for being here!
Hi passing shadows!
Oh, I know you will...as you responded to this. There are lots of readers that we, as writers, have a tendency to forget. When we make our replies here, many eyes read our thoughts, and by replying to this, you may have given someone out there the inspiration to try a bit harder in their own little corner of the world.  So, I thank you, and if we all voice our opinions, the changes could be happening....person by person!!!!
