A Candles Light

My mind has lit a candles light
Who’s bright has caused a frightful fright.
This sight that plays this earthly ground
Has brought a sigh, a cry profound.

Smog that burns the Seeing Eye
Water slicks with oil and dye
Sounds that dull the ear of hear
And dust that covers all that’s dear

The maddening rush to make ends meet
A drink of poison clear and neat
A puff of smoke that numbers days
That’s the entire of my gaze.

And so I’ve blown the candle out
And with it the light without
I now reside my own cocoon
Under a poets paper moon

And there I write in red despair
Of all the ills that I’m aware

I love these lines Sy.
It is a shame what we have done to Mother Earth and ourselves...
At times I wish to reside inside that cocoon as well.
Send Randy for me too, please, kind sir??

Too soon time's moon eclipses life's noon, we're glad you peek from your sage cocoon.

This should be laundered on a delicate cycle.  A soft and charming piece of poetry.

Oh Sy, there are days when we all just want to stay under the covers and hope no one knows we're there.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Seymour, my heart goes out to Moher Nature, it is so saddening to see how man believes because of our ability to bend things to our will that other animals can't that we have the right to murder other species and cut their homes down! (sad sigh) This is powerfully aching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
