Mom,
It’s to late to apologize for all I've done.
The things I didn't say and will never get to.
I know it was hard, raising your only son.
You know I couldn't stay with you.

Life happens, I had to grow.

Now they say your leaving, soon you'll be gone.
This pain I feel is overwhelming me.
Without you, I don't know how I'll go on.
I thought at home is always where you'd be.

Life happens; I guess you had to go.

The future, there's still so much for you to see.
Almost through with the college years.
Next I'll find someone and start a family.
When I know you won't be there I shed tears.

Life happens, forces you to go on.

I know I'll always be missing you.
It’s hard when I know you won't be here.
A little scarred don't know what to do.
I said I wouldn't cry, Open casket many a tear.

Life happens, I'll always have your memory making me strong.

Of all I've lost I miss my mind the most.

seconded. this has a tight edge of emotion to it that puts you across in a light that's not overly harsh, but also not blatently flattering either - in other words: realistic.

peace.

As long as you remember she's always there. She's in a better place watching over and waiting for you two to meet again one day.

Very well done. Reality isn't always an easy write, and you've done a wonderful job with this difficult subject, losing mom.
