With: "Praised be Jesus!" and "Haleluyas!" all
sway upon their feet and shuddering wild
seem their mind receptors to have dialed
to cryptic messages from distant calls.

One worshiper's new baby writhes and bawls
as zombie-like they shuffle single-file.
A speaker screams to hell all those defiled
and then a quivering man suddenly falls
and roles almost the full length of the church
crashing into something.

Unaware,
the reverend proceeds to bless a pair
of newly-saved who now no longer search.
And then the shouting pastor gives a lurch
and
screams sixteen Hosannas to the chairs.

Hmm! Sounds like one of the many churches to which I once belonged!

You put me there, and it gave me a knowing chuckle!
