They only see their noses
where the hummingbird reposes
and the bumblebees are humming
all day long.

Where elves are having choices
and making daffy noises
and Santa clause rejoices
in his songs.

Where clouds are always sugared
and noses aren't buggared
and guns are never Lugered
late at night.

They delve on quacky numbers
condemning all the somber
until the pain is slumbered
and made right.

Actually I was referring to the droning  themes with the equally seemingly mindless droning replies which any poem elicits here whenever the intangibles of
"love" "mother" "father" "cherish" "America" "freedom" "courage" "baby" and "I"  are included in the right proportions.

Mark is right of course. But, I'll play. Nicely, or they will censor me.

~I~ was wondering if now that you have raised yourself and your poem writing to a superior level, if your self-esteem has also risen.

~I~, one ~mother~, am glad you had the ~courage~ and sense of ~freedom~, to speak, a valued right in ~America~, insisted on by our fore~fathers~, so each newborn ~baby~ also has freedom of speech, we all ~love~ so much.

I am a novice poetess. I am glad there is a place to post my attempts at poetry, to stroke my ego with other's droning drivel and uneducated opinions, in some instances.  I love it! I need it! I use it! Positive, droning comments cause me to write better. I thrive on feed-back. I like being part of a like-minded group who openly accepts anyone who wishes to write and post their feeble and/or brilliant poetry. Shallowness and contempt are limited editions here, in this supportive family atmosphere.
Please see my poem:

"Can You Have Me? Just Touch My Mind!"

and know that on this site there is a maximum of (?) 10-15... maybe, master poets, who can do it with their poetry.

I could not afford to buy their poetry, and feel guilty reading it for free. But, I can study it, I can ask the poet questions about it, and become a better poetess with these resources at hand.

What do you have to offer?

Just so you know, I have sold a lot of my poetry, not to poets, but, to the general public. So the sappy stuff you find droning, the common layman is willing to pay for. And, that is the best compliment anyone can recieve.
And, the best feeling to have touched someone.

Where was your mind when you wrote your reply? Have you read Tim's elf poems.....they are award winning!

I am glad for this site.
