The Lamentations Part 2
Sequel to What Has Become : /pip/Forum74/HTML/003499.html

Lamentations, chapter 3
28: He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.


A soundless nod seated him before her
And silence surrounded them for moments,
She thought her lacking would surely deter
As a long silence was casually spent.

Slow sips emptied his cup after a time
And he motioned the waitress more to bring
And with steady voice that was soft and kind
Asked if there was something for her to bring

“More coffee maybe” she said head turned down,
then he ordered her breakfast most grand
All her favorites he easily found
Silently gave her his card as he did stand.

She read the card and looked up at his face.
He paid the bill as he left of the place.

THis leaves a person ...dangeling ..waiting.. hoping for the girl.  SO, finish it and it better have a happy ending. *S*
