Minstrels of the ever greens
Music breezing threw the trees
Dancing in the winds of story telling
Wild fables of fairy tales

Dragon tails
Drinking fire brewed beer
Flaming stories
In scotch whiskies
In shots of courage
Champions
Who always stagger home

Princesses so divine
That they take on the music’s allure
So fair are the maidens
That their silken charms
Are on the notes of your lips
Kissing the words
That blesses them so

Sweet strings of nature’s harmony
Strum my fingers
Into the highlands
Of folklore
Into the castles of our forefathers
Fighting on in the traditions
Of beautiful lasses
To win their love
On beds of four leaf clover

So from the past from gentlemen
With golden tongues
Who wandered the woods
For stories to tell
Finding the charm of nature
And a lot of spirited imagination
To entertain the gatherings
In hours of fascination

Oh ye minstrel of love
Spin your melody
Into my heart
For your music
Is still heard today
In the Renaissance’s
Of history revivals

there is always a place for the story teller, whether in rhyme or song or simple tale...
