Rain
gently flowing
from the sky
sounds as if the
Heavens softly
cry

As I'm listening

Listen to the gentle rains, yes. Violent thunderstorms? Find shelter.
Enjoyed the weather report, Ethel.

Yep, it's raining here in sunny Florida....
No thunderstorms.....not yet, anyway, but
maybe later today. I don't like the
thunderstorms, either.
(and that's the weather report for today...  HeeHee....

I believe each rain storm tells a different story. Some softly cry...some scream out with thunder....some rock in celebration.

we just need to stop and listen sometime...as you just did. A Most excellent write!

Ooooohhhhh, Pat.....
I'm glad I don't have to go out in it today. I'd rather just listen to it and have good thoughts.....

Be careful driving in the rain..

(smiles) Yay! Oh Ethel, this is sooooooo gorgeous, sweet friend, I wish I lived down in Florida where my sweet Joanna lives or somewhere where it is warm and rains, as out here in Colorado it is a desert and I miss the rain! (kiss on cheek) I need my angel tears now now now! (giggles) This is lovely, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Wow. That's beautiful. I usually get annoyed with people who write something tiny like that, but probably because they don't know how. You preserve the poetic flow of the words. You really have a way of working with the music of language, rather than working through it. You've put a tremendous amount of power into a very short piece and that brings you my admiration.

Noah,
Thanks so much for your sweet comments.
Hey...I didn't know that Joanna lives in Florida.
Does she like it here?

Kielo,
Thank you very much for reading and replying
to my poem. I appreciate it.

Toerag,
Yeah, Toe, the sun will dry it up. The sun's
supposed to shine tomorrow.
Yep, you got it right about the South, too. I don't
think living in the sunny South  CAN  be beat!!

Thank you all ....

Nancy Lee,
Yeah, I would like to see the snow,
but I wouldn't like the cold that goes with it....
