Kickin back,
makin strides,
flingin flecks of mud,
tannin hides.

Rode a horse
out of town,
danced in the mud
in a wedding gown.
Solo dancer
left bolo prancer,
cowboy heart
bent Cupid's dart.
Rode a horse
out of town,
gave him back
his wedding gown.

Ridin high,
waved goodbye,
cowgirl sings the blues.
Read it in the news.
Packed guitar
hit the road
to travel far.
Kickin back,
makin strides.
Flingin flecks
of mud
in your eyes
won't cover
all those
cowboy lies.

Cowgirl
sings
the blues,

"Hit the road, Jack"

Really enjoyed this. Yes, empowerment, but so much more with the descriptive lines. Great!

Hugs and warm regards, Pat

Pat, empowerment is...highly overrated.
Thanks for the reply.

Magnus, LOL, I knew someone would sing to me.

You old flingin' mud-flecker, you! This is great! LOL! Put a burr under that cowboy's saddle! I don't think there's a cowpoke alive who can fence you in
