~* The Old Skating Pond *~

Kissed by lace snowflakes
Ice white winter wonderland
Two hot chocolates
Intricate patterns on ice
Arms linked two singing carols

Those were the days!

(smiles) Oh Sharon, I wish I could have lived back in those good old times, sweet friend, it must have been so lovely as I am a huge fan of the 60's and 70's culture and love being both the relaxed person and a hippy boy! (kiss on cheek) This is lovely, sweet friend, the pictures are also soooooo cute, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Never could get the hang of skating on ice, but this was lovely and looked like fun!

...memories, misty watercolor memories...of the way things were.......

Just the way I remember those days when we'd all have a warming cup of hot chocolate after skating on the frozen-over pond! Thank you, Sharon!

Lovely words.

I'm ashamed to admit this as a canadian male..but i never did quite learn how to skate. Yes i know...it's horrible. Kept falling on my butt and tailbone until I'd had enough. One day I learn..someday...It's okay that's why when I played hockey i played in net. ;p

p.s. I was awesome in net... as long as didn't stray or you know...skate anywhere lol

You are so special, and as a Canadian I got up at 3:30 a.m. to get my sheet to practice on. The kid here had her 13th novice if anyone know what that is, and I started learning on my backyard that my Dad flooded, and went from there.  In Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada you could darn near skate anywhere in the winter.  We drove in ruts, and skated to kill time until Spring.  And Linda I miss those days!  Thank you all.

Thos are such wonderful photos....and the words accent them perfectly.

I still skate...but the ice has gotten much thinner!

Glad you enjoyed Mike - I would love to skate with you sometime - I too seem to be always on thin ice, and we could see who stayed up the longest

Well, you got my skates moving with this one, and I don't even skate! Skated on ice twice that I can remember. Growing up in Southern California near the beach didn't give me much practice time. Hehe, Alaska gave me TOO much practice time.
Wonder if Denver might be the happy medium?
