After About A Year
~ By Sue ~

To tell you that I am happy, would only be a lie
I sit here all day long and all I do is sigh

Just wishing things were like they were before
That night you came then walked right out that door

I try to tell myself, that I don't even care
But, to tell myself such a lie would be unfair

Those feelings that I had for you were always true
Now I find myself not knowing what I should do

It seemed to me that you and I were meant to be
Together for the rest of all eternity

I guess this is one of those times when I was wrong
It was because of all the things you did that made me strong

You broke my heart so many times, I cried alot of tears
In time I think this heart will mend after about a year

I will remember all the things you said and did to me
And realize how much better off without you I will be

you gotta get up and get moving around Sue! Get out and do something...volunteer for a cause...it is a powerful thing to finally relaize that you are one person and you are alone now, but it's more powerful to realize what it is you can do as one person and being alone if you find yourself and realize that this is your life and you will control it, not letting someone else have it!

My friend, it sounds like you're having a bad day. I'm so sorry.

How about going for a walk. Perhaps you'll see some of those beautiful deer you told me about.

Sending you a big hug, Marti

Sue, the holidays really can make a person more sad, can't they?  I'm sorry that you're feeling this way, but glad that you're sounding more positive. Just remember, sweet friend, that when someone really loves another person, it can't be turned on and off like a water faucet.
Hope you feel better soon, friend.

Sue sweetie...just keep these last lines in mind whenever you get to wondering if you made the right move.
You're doing great!  I'm so proud of you!

Sue, often on the road to recovery, we take two steps forward and then one step back. But overall, we are heading in the right direction. It is good to see that you can visualize yourself being stronger in about a year's time. Keep that thought! You are going to get through this and you will be redefining yourself in the process!

--"And this too shall pass!" is like a mantra of mine that I say repeatedly when I have gone through difficult times in my life. It really does help me!---and guess what?!? The bad time does pass!

I think that you have been doing incredibly well. Don't be hard on yourself when you take a step back. Use that time to regroup and then forge onward and upward!

~ sending you lots of love and light

I'm saving this one Sue, to return it to you next year, so you can smile as you get back onto that horse and ride into your future, with no regrets.

Sue, you should print those last lines a couple of times and stick them on everything in your house. That will wash away your doubts for sure, dear friend, because you're far better off without him!

Hugs, Titia
