My Forevermore

In another time and place
When I was prime to run the race
When everything was in my fetch
And nothing that I could not catch

I was sent to Winterville
A place of ice and snow and chill
A place of somber winter’s time
With mountains that I could not climb

Where winter sun had small exist
And summer light had no desist
Where metal was no friend to skin
And one mistake could do you in.

Where hibernation was the fare
And tunnels lead to everywhere.
Where thoughts of home was just a theme
And visiting was in a dream.

But now I sit a tropic shore
To warm these bones forever more.

I think the tropic shore much more appealing... doesn't sound as if you are having any problems staying warm SY...

I enjoyed

Seymour darling heart there is always a joy and a certain frisson of anticipation when I read your wonderful poems. You combine exquisite skill with perfect flow do I love this, you have to know I really do. Outstandingly well written and beautifully constructed this is absolutely fabulous I love it utterly utterly utterly

In dreams I float where sighs are sweet
To places where true hearts can meet
Soft whispers speak of loving care
And love lives on forever there
Time has no meaning in that place
There is no hurry, no cause to race
All that is, is, it doesn’t fade away
It lasts forever until the close of play
Days never end there is no night
Hearts live bathed in salvation’s light
The softest breeze carries love’s touch
Perfumed with delight of such
In dreams I go to float forever more
Carried by the poetry of your sigh Seymour

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

My little space of our "tropical shore" here in Florida is
kinda chilly today. What about your space.
But, still, it's  LOTS  warmer than where all that snow is.
I'd love to see the snow, but not all that cold that goes
along with it. I'll just watch it through the eyes
of the fine poets here, won't you?
Thanks for sharing your warmth with us today, Mr. Seymour.

Good Morni---whoops! How time flies! I should be saying, "Good afternoon, Mr. T.!

If you would still like to see the snow, but just don't like the cold, you could come up here and I shall put my arms around you and show you some spledorous things! No, on second thought, I think it would be safer for me if you were to just languish on the sunny beaches of Florida with your lovely wife Isabelle. Oh, well! See you in my dreams! tehe

Well what can I say? Whatever it was it wouldn't do justice to your poem. But it was truly beautiful.
