 Picture by Josephine Wall * * * * In the early hours of slumber I lie awake and think of you You visit me in my dreams Always brightening up my view When I need to see your face I close my eyes and there you are How vivid is your image Like a bright and shining star My heart calls out your name In the middle of the night How I wish for you to be here How I wish with all my might I cast out my dreams and wishes Into a star studded sky I lay here waiting patiently Eagerly hoping for a reply I'm like a sailor adrift on the ocean On love's vessel I'm sailing to you Surrounded by calming waters I see your image come into view We'll ride the waves of passion And lay together on the sand Immersed in our sweet love In our magical wonderland I am in motion I am blue Love is an ocean I'm anchored in you - Shawn Mullins [This message has been edited by Suetang (12-06-2002 08:20 PM).] |

Hey Hey, it's a fellow Melbournian!  I really enjoyed your poem; very sweet and tender. The second last verse is my favourite, and the picture was one of the most beautiful illustrations of peace I've seen in a long time! The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |
