You are There (challenge)

I couldn't find my "You Are There"
A challenge past ..."Here With Me"
I searched the archives for words to share,
And ran across a wish to be.

Sometimes I read myself and think,
"Did I write this, a tempting tease?"
A poem saved, a memory
Words of sharing, meant to please:

~~*~~

Wish You Were There

Imaging myself in the eyes of you
Wondering just what your mind does view
Each time the words caress the feel
Of waiting thoughts, of touches real.

I sought out sheerness, and found it twice
Tried on its meaning, arresting, nice.
Would please, and tease, I... feeling bold.
Never thinking age is old.

I sought out sheerness, and found each thread,
Tempts the mind when shy is shed.
"Bolden" not a word  when pressed
But that's the feel I felt, possessed.

Sassiness is not like me,
Adventuresome I try to be.
I sought out sheerness, tried its wear
It stood me proud...
Wish you were there...

~~*~~

And even though the title changed
And although meaning rearranged
The challenged phrase of poet past
Lies between my words I cast
Upon these walls where many share
You were with me, I wished You there.

Maureen

I loved each stanza, but especially this:

"I sought out sheerness, and found each thread,
Tempts the mind when shy is shed.
"Bolden" not a word  when pressed
But that's the feel I felt, possessed"

Just beautiful!

Thanks Martie.
Do you ever go and search your own poetry files with a title and find one that appeals to you but makes you ask yourself if you  really wrote it?
I actually come back to passions search and check up on my own poems, not believing they are mine.

* I never remember anything I write, the moment it is posted, I forget it except for maybe a title.

Thanks Nancy. It is a bit of  adding and rearranging to say I missed the challenge the first time around, but I think this poem fits it. *s
