I stand looking out to sea
So beautiful as the sun falls
Reds and Golds lighting a fall sky
A cool breeze plays across my skin

I wept as i watched this final sunset
knowing it would be my last
I did not weep for my own life
For my own life has been but a shadow

I wept for the dreams unfulfilled
For the generations unborn
For the tears and the love never to be
As the beautiful sun slowly falls apart

I feel the last of the suns warmth
The last rays of the Dieing God
I never imagined the end The last day
could contain such beauty

I lay down under a perfect sky
And finaly I wept for who now
will appreciate the beauty
of this final kiss of the sun

Take a good look at my face
Well, don't my smile look out of  place
look a little closer its easy to trace
The tracks of my tears

So much does this sound like the death-knell of hope, for only a romantic carries much hope within their breast.  A sad, but lovely write, Walter.  Thank you.

This is really moving.  Perhaps it is an artist's "burden" to weep for the world which he knows in his heart could be such a better place...

Yes, this touched my heart, too. It sounded like a hurtful
cry from the heart of someone who had lost so much that they
had lost their hope.

Truly a moving piece. I wept also in reading it.
