Then I shall listen
for the echo splash
of every drop
that nears
and feel the fall
of silent rain
that touches
to my lips

Krawdad

To listen and feel refines a sensitive soul and is not always easy to do in this noisy world.  Enjoyed!

You've illuminated simple details here that I've never even considered, and each re-read allowed me to feel those senses more keenly. Unique...

Krawda, I like the whispers that the rain tells me.

Thanks, Martie, glad you enjoyed.

Something new for you, Mark?  Hey, I've succeeded!  You are welcome.

Sey, you are spot on to the dilemma of this piece!  My editor kept screaming ears, ears, ears!  I had another message I guess.  Always risky to kink the end like that.

g'sgirl, thanks, to another rain lover.

yeah...this one too has the quality that is hard to define, but pleasing... almost enigmatic in the ending...

I enjoyed

deliciously peaceful thoughts, images

I love a walk in a gentle rain, thanks for taking me along.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
