Untamed Minutes

The sun is slanted now and threads stitch it to
tall buildings.

Far,  a crow sits wire
and scans the ground for acorns.

The rain sent crinkled leaves into the lane
where a baby just learning to walk
purposely places a bare foot onto the soggy of it
and looks down with interest.

The cold comes fast to dusk
and her sweater is green, like eyes
that warm a room.  She has bloomed beautiful
with the watching of this child’s wonder,
who sits on the pile
and picks up a golden fold of time.

The sun takes root in the darkening hills
and grows magenta clouds behind the palm trees.

This was interesting.  I normally don't like poetry of this style, but this created a clear image of sight and touch.  It made me think of a really great still life painting.  Great way to catch the moment.

There is still no one who writes a canvas quite like you.
This is so beautiful, my friend.
I absolutely love it.

Aren't baby steps just the cutest thing?   As is little Samantha, just adorable!  *hugs*

This is almost overwhelming in its beauty, Martie. It is certainly a keeper! May I? May I share with a few e-mail friends? Your name would definitely remain with it!!!!! As always!!!!!

I am in awe.

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
