How I cherish your sweetness,
leaning against me,
              your support,
when you come in from out there,
seeking me,
  and I caress your depth.

How I love that five o'clock shadow
and, adore untying your tie
                of stress,
by ~just so~ touches up your back,
and, snuggles and wet kisses
          up your chest.

My love, I love your need of me,
and I respect your tender heart,
                    uncovered.
Carefully, I adjust
         the pressure of us,
savoring the quiver of your essence

And, you adjust my level of joy,
for I've given all to you from
         my greater being,
a gift for both of us, and yet,
the greatest gift we've been given,
         is our compatibility.

And, I thank you darling,
     for telling me,
how happy you are, for in your
trust, your joy, your comfort
           your complete,
you sate my yearning
     of giving and loving.

I am satisfied,
each day filling back up,
for when you come in from
      out there, seeking me....

I'll be waiting
with my sweetheart kisses,
and an understanding

I so agree with you about the compatibility, one of a couple important facets of a love relationship. I am pleased you found it uplifting.

Linda, my dear friend, I keep trying to write in new ways. Didn't mean this one to be quite this sensual. But, obviously it worked okay. I still want to tackle characters, but, that's much more time consuming and difficult, but I wanna!!!

I've had lots of help, now just have to try it. Thank you for the note about my growth as a poetess; I often feel unsure of myself in that regard, so it means much that you took the time to read and reply.

Your reply caused me to burst out in tears...I would argue with you all day about your comment. But, you certainly made me feel good. What a compliment.
That is so encouraging, I appreciate you taking the time and effort to reply. I noticed there were not many love poems written from a woman's point of view, so thought I'd see if I could.
I did...though I think it needs some refining and re-typed, but I'll leave as is for now.....smiling here..and thanking you from the bottom of my heart.
