Oh, the one who left me in the cold,
With nothing; screaming at the sky.
Not knowing whether I would live or die.

I prayed about this 'dear' of mine,
everynight, for God to show him
the wrong and the right.

I cried out his name during times
I felt so alone.He was never there;
My heart should've known.

All he needed was trust
and understanding.
If only he believed in our love...
-everlasting.

Who?
Yes, he is now on the who? list that may grow with time.

It is odd how we blame ourselves when love doesn't work out....the ~if only I would have's~. You've produced a very emotional, touching poem. If you are writing about yourself, my heart goes out to you, for long ago, it used to be as difficult for me to unhook myself from these same feelings you write...

Keep writing, your poetry will help you as well as us, as some remember what it ~was~ like, or might be, now.

Hugs and warm regard, Pat

Kristine, it sounds like he may stay on the "Who?" list, too.
Very realistic write, lady. Hope all is well with you.
