Departing across the deep blue sea
waving at you 'til you're gone from me
leaning over the railing for one last glimpse
holding you close always.

Seeking secret wanton wishes
buried treasures, in stark contrast
a hush of lust, misguided trust
unbridled and unrestrained.

Leaving behind a trail of warm air
of what once was
in passing, past
chilled by my foolish desire.

Hey Lori,
There's not much I've found about you that is foolish! Least of all this write. I truly hope your desires are fulfilled. You certainly that and more. Bless you dear girl. I love seeing you here. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

We've all played the fool at one time or another...so I don't necessarily feel that I'm alone on this~

Thank you kindly for your blessings and especially for believing in me Larry~

foolish desire? Is it foolish to dream and wish for things we think missing on our life?

you write it well, as usual... but I believe a person only achieves by taking chances...

Enjoyed my friend...

Blues...it's very good to see you posting again.  Sounds like life has been a bit rough for you.  Tears just go along with the love sometimes.  Wishing you well.

Down a path, winding so...with a sign ahead.
Pointing in directions unknown,  twirled by
the wind...

Where might this beacon to my future stop?
Will it point the right way?  Should I
trust the whispered winds,  or should I
simply let my heart guide?

Gosh,  haven't we all done this...some more
than others...but most assuredly ALL of us
have...

Nicely done Lori...excellent and so honest..

Hmmmm....I think I have experienced this...as many of us have. Life's lessons are sometimes harsh. Enjoyed this. Chris

Well, golly gee, I'm overwhelmed and don't quite know what to say.  Thank you all for comforting me with your words of friendship.
Yes, life is not always kind, the road is long and a bit rough to be sure, and it isn't always smooth sailing on the seas.  In the midst of my pity party I've been known to become angry and overwhelmed by my own sadness.  But alas it is a futile attempt that serves no purpose and only perpetuates that which I cannot change.  But what I regret most is that I alienate myself and for that I am sorry~  I really can't thank you enough, your kind words mean so much and move me in ways I can't completely convey~~~

I hope that you know~

Hugs all around and around~
