Moved from a shack to a barn

Billy got a new BB gun
Bobby got a new bike

Billy, for reasons
Still unknown
Said that I could never
Hit him with a BB
As he peddled
Bobby's bike, fast
Across the park

After the sting,
The crash,
And the ensuing brawl

Billy, Bobby, the bike
And I
Had lost a bit of
Our holiday shine

The BB gun seemed
Wholly unaffected

For some unknown reason this whole scenario played across my mind's eye in a sequence of flashing sepia-toned daguerreotypes...

----Ouch!!! Lessons learned the hard way!

Endearing little story, Ed!

wranx I couldn't stop laughing. Growing up in a house with two older brothers it brought back xmas memories of my own. That and my own BB gun mishaps, I still stand to my testimony that I didn't intentionally shoot my mother's friend in the @ss, I just didn't account for wind..

I saw this scene in fast action technicolor. Well written.
Glad you learned your lesson.
? What lesson, says the young man?

a wonderful christmas tale...
sounded like a christmas story from the community center told by the wise man of the neighborhood...
loved this!

some of my friends and i made the same bet... and had the same brawl... hehehe.

it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown
